He'll never know...

If there was a way,
I could read your mind,
I would wait till the end,
until it was time.
We all know what you want;
what you need is far behind,
and then there is me,
eager to cross this line,
beyond which,you are mine,
You are mine.

I can't compare myself to the sun,
being a galaxy unto myself,
but the earth still clings to that fireball,
and makes his home in a shelf.
The sun will be gone, when it does,
I'll be gone too, a hole in the universe,
I'll be second best to no one,
even to the man I think I love.

A drunken tête-à-tête

Between a man and his drunken lover (italics)

Two more shots of tequila please,
And a bottle of wine quick, we have to leave,
Isn’t the bartender sexy and sweet,
Look! A ring! He’s married, it seems.

You look for love everywhere you see,
And its’ been too long since we played hide and seek,
Dance with me, and then we’ll leave,
Kiss me quick, before we’re seen,
Let’s get out, don’t create a scene,
To touch your face, you know what I mean
I’m happier than I’ve lately been,
Hurry up, I’ve got the keys,
Listen to me, don’t you love me.
I love you my doll, now lets get out, shall we?

Let me dance, I’ve not done it since
I locked my heart, entrapped and fenced,
Who needs music, did I say I do.
And if I dance forever, I shall dance with you.
Don’t dance all this excitement away,
It’s too early to say goodbye,
Look at me, I know you can feel it

[   The night is still young, and we’re luckily alive,
     Watch the winking stars connive,
Let’s get away from all these funny people,
And find a whole new world tonight.      ]    both of them fade out into oblivion...

Two Against the World

For Dodo and someone....

It's a sad new story,
about how the kids fell,
all the way to the bottom,
of a sugar-coated well.

The water starts seeping in,
someone has opened the gates,
they are cornered it seems,
awaiting a drowning fate.

They clung onto each other,
the shiny rope was a trap,
one pull was all it took,
for this lovely rope to snap.

Now we have the strands in our hands,
we know you are looking from above,
we just need some understanding
it cannot be two against the world.

The Sombre Ode

Where are you my, angel eyes,
Can’t you see me waiting,
I have seen you, every day,
Can’t you see me waiting,
Where are you my, angel eyes,
Feel my desperation,
You see me every day,
Blind to my elation.

I’ve seen with my eyes,
And I remember you,
With that single memory,
I remember you...

You’re on my mind,
But you’re my, only vice,
My angel eyes, I’ve loved,
Beyond your worldly, guise.

Where are you my angel eyes,
Can’t you see me smiling,
I wait for you, everyday,
But I keep denying.
My angel eyes, stop a while,
Can’t you see me crying,
You’ve known all along,
But I can’t stop lying..

That you keep lying,
And I keep denying...

Blue White

I’m diving in, I’m splashing out,
I’ve searched all over the seven seas,
I’m screaming out your name aloud,
Come out, don’t hide, oh baby please,
Is it red on the edge of your eyes
And gray pours the stormy skies,
And blue where it has always been
Blue clouds, blue songs, blue summer dreams.

I float in this bubble of faith,
two stones from where you’d kneeled and prayed,
and stand on the ground you touched,
is it you or is it you or am I really mushed,
But is it black in the shadows you hide,
And the grass greener on your other side,
Is it white where you lie down to sleep,
White clouds, white sheets, white winter dreams.

Dos and don’ts for him

Look what i came across..  The best BS i ever wrote.. :P pointers to all novice majnus out there.. lol

Do call her up whenever you can,
Do let her know where you are,
Do make her under-stand,
That from her you’ll never be too far.

Don’t ask too much, don’t tell everything,
Only as much as you both may need,
Do lay down your head in her arms,
Coz she loves to see you sleep.

Do tell her you love her much,
Trust her when she says that too,
She makes mistakes, accept her yet,
She is imperfect, but she does love you.

Don’t tell her, she hasn’t done enough,
Coz she really tries her best,
She is silent about all that she copes up with,
Pray don’t put her to test.

Do give her flowers, girls love flowers,
An occasional present or two,
But you know what; she doesn’t need all that,
All she ever needed is you.

Do forgive her, when she forgets things,
It doesn’t mean she doesn’t care,
She has too much on her mind,
Even half of it she cannot share.

Do make her laugh, speak to her
Sing, she loves to hear you sing,
Hold her hand, keep her close,
To her you mean everything.

Kiss and let her know, she is the one for you,
Reciprocate I swear she will,
Every time it makes her heart flutter, her knees weak,
To know you want her, you always will.

So scold her, when she does wrong,
Do tell her it pains.
Hug her, she gets scared easily,
Stop her before she cries again.
Do let her love you, do let her care,
She hasn’t known anything better
Since the day she met you,
Since that night when you two sat and stared.

Do love her, do cherish her,
Don’t ever leave her alone,
She won’t ever let anyone touch her,
The way you’ve touched her soul…..

The Swing

Every night of last year, she swinged on that swing,
in the park behind your house, waiting, for something.
But it was dust that she could see,
and she meant nothing to me,
I could see her from my window,
And it was raining.

Every evening, just around eight, in the dark, I saw her wait,
Saw her swing and anticipate, and nervously swearing.
Every now and then, I heard her sigh,
They said she was craving to die.
And when I saw her talk to the stars,
That is exactly, what she must be saying.

Came the dark night, I can’t forget,
She lay waiting in the wet,
It kept raining on and on
The clouds thundered, the sky bled.
And I stood quietly by my post,
In my hand, I held a toast,
To praise the heavens for their finale,
And I drank cheerily for this was the end,

For an entire year, every night, she swung,
On that dainty old piece of junk,
And the entire last year, we managed
to stay indoors, and silently wait.

And that night, I know you heard me
It was just an old oak tree
They say, she never saw it coming,
But she had been waiting since a year for this day.
